Product Description

This clay offering with pastillaje technique is a unique handcrafted piece created by master Francisco Jaime López García, a native of Oaxaca.
Each piece represents the connection to life and memory, decorated with flowers and meticulous details that evoke the spirit of Day of the Dead.

Modeled entirely by hand, this offering retains the natural color of the clay and combines warm tones that highlight its organic texture.
Pastillaje—a traditional Oaxacan technique—consists of applying small clay reliefs and ornaments to the surface, achieving depth, movement, and unmatched artisanal beauty.

Features:

  • Material: Natural clay.

  • Technique: Clay pastillaje.

  • Measurements: 13 cm high x 9.5 cm wide x 4 cm deep.

  • Artisan: Francisco Jaime López García.

  • Unique piece, molded and decorated by hand.

About the artisan:

Francisco Jaime López García belongs to the third generation of a family dedicated to clay in Oaxaca.
His work continues the legacy of the renowned master potter Teodora Blanco, who spread the pastillaje technique, a form of miniature sculpture that transforms clay into art full of expression and symbolism.
Each of Francisco's creations combines tradition, heritage, and a deep sensibility for Mexican culture.
